The Rules We Know.
Taken straight from here. Given that there are Rules smattered all throughout the book. I thought I'd make a list of all the ones we know exist. In numerical order, of course, as far as possible (the ones with numbers are usually at the beginning of chapters, and others are within-text mentions)
Section 1
1.1.01.01.001: Everyone is expected to act with all due regard for the well being of others.
1.1.01.01.002: The Word of Munsell shall be adhered to at all times.
1.1.01.01.008: All residents are required to make sacrifices for the good of the community.
1.1.01.02.066: Every resident owns a valise which can never be opened, except by the owner, even after death, where a next of kin's agreement is required.
1.1.02.01.159: The hierarchy shall be respected at all times.
1.1.2.02.03.15: Marriage is an honourable estate and should not be used simply as an excuse for legal intercourse.
1.1.06.01.223: The position of Prefect is open to only those with a perception of 70% and above. In the event of no one being avaliable, an acting Prefect may be appointed until a suitable perceptor is found.
1.1.6.23.102: The raising of one's voice is permissible only at sporting events and only from the spectators. At all other times, speech is to be kept at a polite volume.
1.1.19.02.006: Team sports are mandatory in order to build character. Character is there to give meaning to team sports.
1.2.02.03.059: All residents are expected to learn a musical instrument.
1.2.23.09.022: A unanimous verdict by all the primes will countermand the Head Prefect.
1.2.31.01.006: Anyone caught paying under or over price for goods or services shall be fined.
1.3.02.06.023: There shall be no staring at the sun, however good the reason.
1.03.02.13.114: Pocket handkerchiefs are to be changed daily, and are to be kept folded, even when in the pocket. Handkerchiefs may be patterned.
1.5.01.01.029: Abuse of medicinal hue is strictly forbidden. See Annexe IV-B for a list of banned shades.
1.6.02.13.056: Generally speaking, nudity and unselfconscious regard of the body are to be encouraged. Clothes are required to be worn as and when decorum demands it (see Annexe XVI).
Section 2
2.1.01.05.002: All children are to attend school until the age of sixteen or until they have learned everything, whichever be sooner.
2.1.03.01.115: All trips beyond the outer markers have to be approved by a Prefect or a Senior Monitor.
2.3.02.62.228: Approved words to be used in oaths and chastisements can be found in Annexe 4 (permitted exclamations). all other Very Bad Words are prohibited. Fine for non-compliance: Prefect's discretion, 100 demerits maximum.
2.3.03.01.006: Juggling shall not be practiced after 4 p.m.
2.3.06.02.087: Unnecessary sharpening of pencils constitutes a waste of public resources, and will be punished as appropriate.
2.3.06.56.027: Flowers are not to be picked; they are to be enjoyed by everyone.
2.3.06.56.067: The consumption of more than 2,500 Mcal per day is forbidden.
2.3.09.23.061: Slouching is not permitted under any circumstances.
2.4.01.03.002: Feedback may not be modified once given.
2.4.16.55.021: Males are to wear dress code #6 during inter-collective travel. Hats are encouraged, but not mandatory.
2.5.03.02.005: Generally speaking, if you fiddle with something, it will break. Don't.
2.5.03.16.281: Lightning avoidance drill is to be practiced at least once a week.
2.6.02.13.057: Every resident will take the Ishihara test in their twentieth year.
2.6.03.24.339: Finder's fees are not permitted to be higher than 10%
2.6.19.03.951: A resident shall be deemed Purple if their individual Red and Blue perception values are within thirty points of each other. Outside of this, the individual shall be deemed as the stronger of the two colours. Marital conversion rules apply as normal.
2.6.21.01.066: Dinner may be taken privately, but shall also be available from the communal kitchen, as long as the Head Cook is informed before 4 p.m, and an attendance chit obtained.
2.6.23.02.935: Residents may not keep pets in their room.
2.6.32.12.269: The Leapback list shall be maintained by the most westerly village in Green Sector East. Fresh Leapback shall be chosen in reverse alphabetical order.
2.8.02.03.031: No bicycles shall be used beyond the outer markers, lest the steel frames attract lightning.
Section 3
3.2.02.58.624: Boundary patrol is to be performed a minimum of daily, frequency to be determined by requirements. All are to take part.
3.6.02.01.025: Licentious behaviour between unmarried partners is strictly prohibited. Fine: 500 merits.
3.6.03.12.009: Croquet mallets are not to be used for knocking in the hoops. Fine: one merit.
3.6.12.03.267: Unicycles are not to be ridden backwards at excessive speed.
3.6.23.05.058: National Colour employees are exempt from daily Useful Work.
3.6.23.12.028: Ovaltine may not be drunk at any time except before bed.
3.9.34.59.667: In order to maintain the quality of breeding stock and public decency, complimentary colours are absolutely forbidden from marrying (Example: Orange/Blue, Green/Red, Purple/Yellow)
Section 4
4.2.12.34.431: The menu at village tearooms shall not be deviated from.
Section 5
5.1.02.12.023: It is a condition of custodianship that all Paintings, Sculptures and other works of art must be shown to any other resident on demand.
5.2.02.02.018: Yellows are permitted to break Rules in the pursuit of Rule Breakers, but all Rules to be broken must be logged before hand, and countersigned by the Yellow Prefect.
5.2.03.01.002: Any resident who has been even indirectly exposed to Mildew must follow quarantine procedures.
5.3.21.01.002: Once allocated, postcodes are permanent and for life.
5.6.12.03.026: Open Returns can never be questioned, or rescinded.
Section 6
6.1.02.03.012: The annual thousand hour lamp burn allocation may be discharged however the Council sees fit. Multiple lamp heads are allowed, but total allocation time remains unchanged. Unused time may be carried over.
6.1.02.11.235: Artifacture from before the Something that Happened may be collected, so long as it does not appear on the Leapback list and is not possessed of colour above 23% saturation.
6.3.01.01.225: The Ishihara test is final and cannot be reviewed, nor retaken.
6.6.19.61.247: Vulgar mispronunciations of everyday words will not be tolerated.

7.3.12.31.208: Reckless disrespect of the lightless hours will not be tolerated.
