I'm not sure if I should make an announcement about this, but I might as well. My inmate, Chloe, is gone. She left before the port. I don't know why and I don't know where.

But I hate feeling like I'm not doing anything, so if anyone needs help with anything, I'm more than willing to give my time.

Two in a matter of months.

[Infirmary filter, minus Martha]

I think I need stitches. I wo- can't go to the infirmary, though.

[Private to Eddie R.]

You made it back, didn't you? I have to do something and then I'll come and see you. I have your swatches to return.

I'm glad to hear it, though. Or I'd have to... throw something at a Yellow Prefect and his inmate.

Do you want me to come and see you or not?

Don't throw anything. That's what I do.

Yes, yes, of course.

I'm just glad you're back safe.

Me, too. I'll see you later.

[And, once John had finished the stitches, she headed to Eddie's room, knocking lightly.]

[Eddie answered the door, and stood back to let her in when he realised who it was.]

What happened?

[She stepped inside before answering and placed the swatches on his desk. There was no way she could get away with saying "nothing" now, as she had the bandages to prove that something happened.]

I fell from a fence.

[He took a casual, relatively calm look at her arm, then asked,] Who treated you? [He picked up the swatches and started to file them back where they belonged in his swatch,]

Did they work, yes? [He had a slight, slight worry.]

Not as well as when Ochre treated me. [She shrugged, letting him look at it.] But I've never had to do it myselnf.

Oh. And Dr. Watson.

Shouldn't make a difference, the colours are the colours. [He had a slight peer at her wound, but shrugged. It'd heal.]

He's one of the new ones?

[There was a long pause.] But Ochre didn't have your colour right. It can't have worked better for him. [thinking aloud there, and he shut himself up as soon as his mind came to the thought that maybe Ochre did have it right. He was very suspicious of that Ishihara, after all.]

[Jane pulled her arm away after a moment and pointed up at him after his final thought. Once she figured out where he was going with it, her tone turned sharp.]

No, it can't have. So forget it. Forget what I said.

[He paused and shook his head skeptically,]

Jane, I can't.

I'm sure... I'm sure... de Mau... [he then realised why it might be a bad idea to go there and waved his hand vaguely,] Never mind.

[She set her jaw as he started down that road, but relaxed when he stopped himself.]

Good. Now...tell me what happened to you.

[He was still running through the idea, the possibility that she wasn't even a Green in his head, and was a little distracted.]

A lot of running. That's what happened to me. I'm fairly sure it's the only reason we got back.

I stood on an animal's egg. I thought it was going to kill me.

You told me about the egg. [She stood up and walked to him, tugging on his shirt gently.]

Eddie. I forgot to tell you this part. The Yellow Prefect's inmate...can control ball lightning.

[He stared. Just stared.]

You... forgot to tell me that.

She can control... how can she control that? How is it possible? How... what? [he just couldn't quite believe it]

I don't know how, Red. Don't ask stupid questions.

But it was...useful. [After it was terrifying.]

I imagine it would be when you can control it.

But... I thought it was uncontrollable.

[pause]

What could she do with it?

She killed the creatures. [She moved a hand to trace her fingers against his. Her unusual desire for some kind of physical contact was only the first clue to her anxiety about this topic and the whole weekend.]

And she passed it through the fences to turn off the...electricity in them.

[He noticed her fingers and took a slight step closer, intertwining hers and his for a moment.]

How would she turn them off? [He shook his head in confusion.]

If she killed the creatures... couldn't she, um... [kill us.] Why is she even allowed on board with something so dangerous? Sure, in ports, where there's creatures and things, but... here?

I don't know. Stop asking stupid questions that I don't know the answer to. I don't know everything, Eddie! [She closed her eyes for a moment and then looked down, staring hard at the floor.]

[He paused and realised that was ill advised. After a slight, awkward moment, he stepped closer to her and pulled her into a hug.]

I'm sorry.

[She returned it with her good arm, allowing herself to lean on him for just a moment. But then she was back to her normal self and stepped back.]

It's alright. But I don't know what to do all the time, Red. I don't know everything. Zane did.

Can anyone really know everything?

[He paused,] I wasn't really asking. Just thinking aloud. They're just questions I'd like answered, not ones I expected you to know.

I don't know. [She sat back down and cradled her arm close to her.]

And ask the Yellow Prefect. Or Elle herself.

Will they answer? [He shrugged,] Worth a try.

[After a long, cautious pause, he asked,] Are you really alright, Jane?
